Just west of Chicago lies a community filled with love kindness and respect Here preschoolers spend their days learning through play, making new friends and growing together under the loving guidance of experienced adults. Kindergarten is a special year to build a strong foundation for reading writing, math and science with a lot of time for fun music, and movement. On the first floor our first through third graders are working hard.  With two classrooms per grade, each student is given the support and attention they need from our qualified teachers. These primary years will set them up for success as they build upon their knowledge and get ready to move upstairs. Here on the second floor grades 4 through 8 focus on the challenging work of mastering the skills necessary for success in high school. Our intermediate students will focus on more advanced STEM projects, complex division and multiplication, and will make the transition from learning to read to reading to learn. Our sixth graders take on the added responsibilities that come with becoming a Junior High student as well as an important leadership role as mentors for younger students. Here, the curriculum becomes more challenging as students are encouraged to think critically and reach academic goals before moving on to high school. From our very youngest learners to our graduating class, we are happy you are here and we welcome you to the Ascension School community!
